Big Mac Salad

This hits all the classic Big Mac flavors but in salad form - perfect when you want something lighter but still satisfying. The rehydrated onions and homemade Big Mac sauce make all the difference.

Ingredients

Ingredients (~6 servings)

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp dehydrated minced onions
  • 1 1/2 heads iceberg lettuce chopped or shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayo
  • 3 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp seasoning salt

Instructions

  • Add dehydrated onions to small bowl with 1/3 cup water and let sit 30 minutes.
  • Whisk together mayo, pickle relish, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, paprika, and onion powder in medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat large skillet over medium-high heat and add ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoning salt.
  • Cook 8-10 minutes, breaking up meat until fully browned with no pink remaining. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Drain water from rehydrated onions and stir into cooked beef. Let cool a few minutes.
  • Divide lettuce between 6 bowls and top with beef mixture and shredded cheddar.
  • Drizzle Big Mac sauce over each salad before serving.

Notes

Sauce can be served on the side for individual preference.
