Slow Cooker Refried Bean Dip
This is a thick, cheesy dip that's perfect for game day - and it's way better than the store-bought stuff.

Ingredients
~6-8 servings

bacon grease

~1/2 pound ground beef
▢
1/2
cup
diced onion
▢
1
can refried beans
15-ounce
▢

teaspoons
taco seasoning
▢
1 1/2
tablespoons
taco sauce
▢
1/2
teaspoon
garlic powder
▢
~1/2 pound American cheese
cubed
▢
1
green onion
sliced
Instructions
Heat bacon grease in skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook diced onions for 2 minutes until softened.
Add ground beef and cook until completely browned.
Remove from heat and mix in refried beans, taco seasoning, taco sauce, and garlic powder.
Transfer mixture to greased slow cooker.
Stir in cubed American cheese.
Cook on HIGH for 1 hour or LOW for 2-3 hours, stirring halfway through.
Sprinkle green onions on top before serving.
Notes
Serve with tortilla chips. Cheese will melt and incorporate during cooking.
