Taco Soup With Ground Beef
This is pure Midwest comfort food - it's basically everything good from a taco thrown into a pot. Takes about 30 minutes and uses stuff most people already have.

Ingredients
Ingredients (~8 servings)

ground beef
▢

large onion
~2 cups, diced
▢

cups
water
▢

cans kidney beans
undrained
▢
2
cans diced tomatoes
undrained
▢

can corn
undrained
▢

can diced green chiles
undrained

packet taco seasoning
▢
1
packet ranch dressing mix
▢
Shredded cheese
sour cream, diced avocado, cilantro, and tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
Brown ground beef and onions in large pot over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes, draining excess fat.
Add water, kidney beans, tomatoes, corn, green chiles, taco seasoning, and ranch mix.
Bring to boil, then simmer for 20 minutes until flavors combine.
Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, cilantro, and tortilla chips.
Notes
Cheese will melt into hot soup; toppings balance spice from chiles.
