BBQ Ranch Dressing

By Sam Pierce

Ingredients (~1 1/2 cups)

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp ranch seasoning mix

Combine all ingredients with a whisk

To a medium mixing bowl, place the mayonnaise, buttermilk, BBQ sauce, and ranch seasoning mix.

Whisk until the ranch powder is mixed well into the liquid – it may look clumpy at first, but after mixing for about 30 seconds, it will be smooth again.

The dressing’s consistency should be similar to pancake batter, thick enough to hold its shape but thin enough to pour.

Add additional buttermilk 1 tablespoon at a time, re-whisking after each addition, until you reach your desired consistency.

You can refrigerate this dressing for a week.

It will have much better flavor after resting overnight – this allows the flavors from the seasoning to combine with the other ingredients.

BBQ Ranch Dressing

This is way better than store-bought and takes about 2 minutes to whisk together. I keep a jar in the fridge since it goes with everything from salads to grilled chicken.
