Ingredients (~6 servings)
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 3/4 tsp ranch seasoning
- 3/4 cup chopped dill pickles
- 1 1/2 Tbsp pickle juice
- 2 tsp chopped fresh dill
- 3 Tbsp finely chopped sweet onion
- Black pepper to taste
Whisk the Cream Cheese Base Until Smooth
Combine your cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning in a large mixing bowl.
Using a handheld electric mixer, whisk the ingredients until thoroughly mixed; the ranch mix may start out clumpy but it will blend in after continued mixing.
If you do not own a handheld electric mixer, you may also use a large wooden spoon to combine the ingredients.
However, make certain to use very soft cream cheese to ensure that no lumps remain.
Fold in the Pickles and Aromatics
Next, mix in your chopped pickles, pickle juice, dill, and onion.
The liquid from the pickles will make the mixture thinner or runnier than you desire, so you need to begin with the amount listed and possibly add more later if needed.
You may use black pepper as desired.
Ready to Eat or Refrigerate
You can enjoy this dish right away with chips, crackers, or vegetables.
It will taste best after resting in the refrigerator for a few hours, as the flavours will blend together and the mixture will thicken due to sitting.
