Dill Pickle Dip

By Sam Pierce

Ingredients (~6 servings)

  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 tsp ranch seasoning
  • 3/4 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp pickle juice
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh dill
  • 3 Tbsp finely chopped sweet onion
  • Black pepper to taste

Beat the Cream Cheese Base Until Smooth

Place the cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning in a large mixing bowl.

Use a hand-held electric mixer to beat until smooth; The ranch powder clumps at first but will incorporate.

If you don’t have a mixer, use a wooden spoon but make sure the cream cheese is really soft or you’ll get lumps.

Fold in the Pickles and Aromatics

Stir in the chopped pickles, pickle juice, dill, and onion.

The pickle juice thins it out to the right consistency – start with what’s listed and add more if you want it looser.

Season with black pepper to taste.

Serve or Make Ahead

Serve immediately with chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.

This actually tastes better after sitting in the fridge for a few hours – the flavors meld together and it firms up nicely.
