Ingredients (~1/2 cup seasoning mix)
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp sea salt
- 1 Tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Mix All Spices Together
Add everything to a small bowl and whisk until well combined.
The mixture will look uniform when it’s properly blended – no streaks of individual spices.
Store in an Airtight Container
Pour into a glass jar or small container with a tight lid.
This keeps for ~6 months in your pantry but the flavors are strongest in the first 3 months.
Label it with the date so you remember when you made it.
How Much to Use
Use ~2-3 Tbsp per pound of ground meat for tacos.
Start with 2 Tbsp and taste – you can always add more but you can’t take it back.
For other uses, try 1 tsp mixed into mayo for sandwich spread or a pinch in mac and cheese.
