Ingredients (~8 servings)
- 1 1/2 lbs cooked chicken meat (shredded or cut into 1 inch pieces)
- 1 1/2 lbs pasta
- 1 1/2 (16 oz) jars Alfredo sauce
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1 1/2 packets ranch dressing seasoning
- 1/3 cup bacon bits (or 6 strips cooked and chopped)
- 3 cups shredded swiss cheese (divided)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Preparation and Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F; grease a (9″ wide x 13″ long) casserole dish lightly with cooking oil.
Bring water to a boil in a pot following package directions for pasta, boil until “al dente” (almost cooked through).
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Prepare Ranch Sauce Base
Combine the following ingredients in a large bowl: Alfredo Sauce, Sour Cream, Ranch Seasoning, cooked bacon pieces, 2 C Swiss Cheese.
At first, the Ranch powder may appear lumpy; keep mixing until fully incorporated into the sauce.
Once Ranch Mix has been mixed into the sauce, add pasta and chicken; continue stirring until every ingredient is coated with sauce.
Put This Together and Bake!
Spoon the pasta and chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish, level out evenly, and sprinkle with the last 1 C Swiss cheese, plus extra bacon bits if desired.
Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
You will see that the sides of the casserole dish will be bubbling; that indicates the casserole is done.
Sprinkle on some fresh parsley, if you desire, and enjoy your casserole while it is nice and gooey with melted cheese!
