Ingredients (~9 servings)
- 3/4 pound ground beef
- 6 ounces cream cheese
- 1 (10-ounce) can Rotel tomatoes, undrained
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (3-ounce) package bacon bits
- 3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons chopped dill pickles (optional)
Brown the Ground Beef
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
Drain off any grease and transfer the cooked beef to a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add Remaining Ingredients and Cook
Add the cream cheese, Rotel tomatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, ground mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper to the slow cooker with the beef.
Cover and cook on LOW for ~2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring every 30-45 minutes to get everything evenly mixed.
The cream cheese will be lumpy at first but will smooth out as it melts.
If using dill pickles, stir them in during the last 30 minutes of cooking so they don’t get too soft.
