Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

By Sam Pierce

Ingredients (~9 biscuits)

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup half & half
  • 3 oz cheddar cheese, shredded

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp chopped parsley

Preheat Oven and Mix the Dry Ingredients

Get your oven to 425F.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Stir in the shredded cheese until it’s evenly distributed.

Add the Wet Ingredients and Form the Biscuits

Pour in the melted butter and half & half to the dry ingredients.

Stir until just combined – don’t overmix or the biscuits will be tough.

The dough should be sticky but hold together.

Divide the dough into 9 portions and shape each one into a rough disk.

Arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

Bake and Brush with Garlic Butter

Bake for ~11-12 minutes or until puffed and light golden brown on top.

While they’re baking, combine the garlic butter ingredients in a small bowl.

Brush the tops of the biscuits with the garlic butter mixture while they’re still hot from the oven.

The butter will soak right in and create that signature Red Lobster flavor.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

These taste exactly like the ones from Red Lobster but you can make them at home in 20 minutes. The garlic butter brush at the end is what makes them addictive.
